• Command on Linux OS (RHEL preferred) and troubleshooting various OS issues, interpret errors and fixing.

• Good at BASH shell scripting, exposure to awk, sed etc. tools

• Monitoring server performance i.e. CPU, I/O, Memory utilization and identify bottleneck.

• A solid foundational understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, Internet, network topologies) including security concepts (routing, switching, firewalls).

• Good knowledge of HTTP servers i.e. Apache, Nginx and application servers i,e JDK/Tomcat

• Must ensure system availability/uptime.

• Configuration and hardening of servers/ services.

• Excellent at log analysis.

• Monitoring & Health-Check of web and application server environments.

• Day to day proactive monitoring, Capacity Planning, OS installation and troubleshooting, Patch installation and management.

• Handling hardware failures and server crashes.

• Familiarity with SSH, telnet, FTP, NFS, DNS, DHCP.

• In depth knowledge of File system/directories and LVM and NFS File system management.

• Good knowledge of various monitoring tools. Nagios PRTGS etc.

• Collaborate with application stake holders for resolving various levels of issues.

• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Experience:

3+ years Technical Skills and experience required.

Education Qualification:

BE/B.Tech/M.Tech (CS, IS, EC, EE, etc.), BCA, MCA
